I got back into reading consistently in November after my coworker reintroduced me to Kindle, and let me tell you, that one suggestion changed everything. What started as casually picking up a book here and there quickly turned into me being fully invested again. The late nights, the “just one more chapter” that turns into five, the emotional attachment to fictional characters… yeah, I was back.
Now let me say this, I am not one of those readers knocking out 50 books in a month. That has never been my vibe. I like to sit with my books. I take my time. I feel everything. I get frustrated, I laugh, I question characters like they can actually hear me, and I really let the story settle in. I’m the type of reader who savors what I choose each month, not rush through it just to say I finished.
